Mattaponi Winery
Join Mattaponi Winery at the Virginia Wine Festival and experience a taste of history, heritage, and award-winning craftsmanship. As a family-owned winery, we are dedicated to producing handcrafted wines that honor the rich traditions of Virginia’s Native American and winemaking history.
Named after the four rivers in Spotsylvania County—Mat, Ta, Po, and Ni—our winery pays tribute to the Mattaponi Tribe once ruled by Chief Powhatan, the father of Pocahontas. Using Virginia’s finest berries and fruit, we continue a time-honored tradition of crafting distinctive, flavorful wines that have earned us five Coast-to-Coast International Awards and four National Wine Awards.
At the festival, you'll have exclusive access to our unique selection, a chance to meet our staff, and the opportunity to step inside our Native American Indian “Tasting Post”—where every sip is a journey through time.
Don’t miss the opportunity to taste award-winning history at the Virginia Wine Festival with Mattaponi Wine!
